Last July, 22 women volunteers from Washington, Oregon, Montana, South Dakota, Wyoming, North Dakota and Idaho came together in Boise, Idaho, to experience the Treasure Valley Little Black Dress Ladies’ Event Summit. These dedicated women attended with a shared purpose to learn, connect and take the excitement from this special event back to their own communities to fuel conservation, fundraising and fun.
Boy did they ever! Since the summit, there have been seven new ladies’ events held in Chehalis, Wash.; Tri-Cities, Wash.; Fargo, N.D.; Cheyenne, Wyo.; Twin Falls, Idaho; Enterprise, Ore.; and Portland, Ore., resulting in over $96,000 in new chapter revenue and 621 new attendees.
“The excitement and momentum created at the Boise ladies’ summit gave our committee the confidence and inspiration to host an incredible event,” said Sandy Yanish, Chehalis, Wash., volunteer. “Seeing 125 women attend our event in September 2025 was a testament to the power of bringing passionate volunteers together to share ideas, encourage one another and grow opportunities for women within RMEF.”
Chehalis and Fargo will be coming back with another event this fall along with events in Spokane, Wash.; Torrington, Wyo.; Everett, Wash.; and Pocatello, Idaho. The results of this summit in less than a year and a half will generate over $150,000 in new chapter revenue to help support the mission of RMEF.
The success of these events is a direct reflection of the passionate volunteers who brought the vision of the Boise summit back to their communities and turned it into action. Thank you to everyone who has supported and championed ladies’ events across the region. If you’re interested in attending, volunteering at or starting a ladies’ event in your area, reach out to your Regional Director. We’d love to connect you with a successful committee and help grow these opportunities for women throughout RMEF.
