Conservation in America is heavily rooted in the history of hunting and hunters. And the conservation of tomorrow will also be strongly connected to hunting and hunters.

Hunting is a deeply personal activity. I hunt for many reasons; food, conservation, participating in the natural world, and the list goes on. My motives for hunting are not the only motives. Nor are my motives in some priority that is less/more right than the priority others place on their motives for hunting.

Food connects me to the land. All conservation starts with healthy land. The land is what I must conserve. To hunt, I must conserve, and I will.
