The Foundation Pack

For decades, Eberlestock and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation have shared a commitment to the people, places, and traditions that define the hunting community. Rooted in a passion for western landscapes and a respect for our hunting heritage, both organizations understand that conservation is essential to the future of hunting. Throughout that shared history, the Team Elk and RMEF-branded Bandit packs have been part of countless hunting stories, from preseason scouting trips and opening-day adventures to packing out trophy bulls deep in elk country. Through the sale of these packs, Eberlestock has proudly contributed more than $750,000 to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, helping support conservation efforts that ensure future generations can enjoy the same traditions and adventures.

Built for backcountry hunters who demand comfort, stability, and efficient load hauling in a streamlined design, the Foundation Pack is perfectly sized for day hunts. With 2,500 cubic inches of storage, it provides ample room for essential gear while maintaining a low-profile silhouette that’s easy to maneuver through thick timber and steep terrain.

Every feature of the Foundation Pack is thoughtfully designed to keep essential gear organized and accessible in the field. A full-length spotting scope pocket on one side of the pack and an oversized water bottle pocket on the other keep frequently used gear organized and within easy reach. An internal hydration sleeve with a hanger loop and dual hydration ports allows hunters to stay hydrated on long climbs without sacrificing pack organization. When the hunt is successful, the frame-mounted load panel secures quarters and heavy loads between the pack and frame, keeping weight close to the body for improved stability, comfort, and control on the pack-out.

Blending modern Eberlestock innovation with legendary durability, the Foundation Pack is built on the same field-proven frame found in the Brute Series and Modframe™ packs. Its Contoured Shoulder Harness, Cradle Hip Belt, padded lumbar support, and raised load lifters keep the pack securely positioned against your body when navigating the uneven terrain where elk call home. Drawing inspiration from the Bandit Pack, the exterior also features a load panel to quickly stow shed antlers, bows, jackets, waders, and other gear.

Built to adapt to a variety of hunting styles and conditions, the Foundation Pack is compatible with several Eberlestock accessories, including the Pack Lid, which expands storage capacity and helps secure oversized loads like mounts and capes. A laser-cut MOLLE panel between the meat shelf and frame, along with additional MOLLE panels on both sides of the hip belt, makes it easy to add accessories such as the Bolt Action Rifle Scabbard, General Purpose Pouches, and MOLLE-compatible holsters.

Whether you’re glassing distant ridges, navigating dark timber, or packing out a hard-earned bull, the Foundation Pack is built to meet the demands of elk country. More than just a pack, it represents a shared commitment to the future of hunting and conservation. By combining proven Eberlestock performance with support for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s mission, every purchase helps protect the landscapes, wildlife, and traditions that make these experiences possible for generations to come.
