An overpass built west of Pinedale, Wyoming, in 2012 offers wildlife a way to get across a busy roadway without any danger. This location is known as Trapper’s Point, a bottleneck in the animals’ migration corridor where several thousand pronghorn and mule deer cross Wyoming Highway 191.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says the overpass reduced the number of wildlife-vehicle collisions by more than 85 percent.
