A short video produced by the Wyoming Migration Initiative (WMI), and funded in part by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, gives viewers the opportunity to watch elk and a variety of other species cross a singular piece of terrain.
WMI operates with a mission of advancing the understanding, appreciation and conservation of Wyoming’s migratory ungulates by conducting innovative research and sharing scientific information through public outreach.
Research gathered by a team of scientists over a number of years highlights the migration of elk and other wildlife across the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. RMEF recently unveiled an interactive exhibit at its headquarters that allows visitors to watch the year-long migration.
