Elk Country Meets Music City,
RMEF National Convention Migrates East to Nashville

MISSOULA, Mont.—The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is excited to announce its 2017 National Convention will take place March 2-4 in Nashville, Tennessee.

“We look forward to celebrating our mission accomplishments from 2016,” said David Allen, RMEF president and CEO. “This is a new venue for us and we are excited to honor those who shared in our conservation achievements and honor our volunteers for their 2016 performance.”

The Nashville get-together will include convention staples of the past such as nightly programs like Volunteer Fun Night, world-class entertainment and other traditional RMEF gatherings and meetings. Attendees will also have ample time to experience Nashville’s unique culture first-hand.

Registration, hotel booking and final agenda information will be available in August.

“We’re excited to be bringing our convention to Nashville but we also recognize and celebrate that this part of the nation is already home to elk. There are wild, free-ranging elk herds in Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin. And we are standing by to further assist the reintroduction of elk back onto their native West Virginia range too,” added Allen.

RMEF held its last four national convention gatherings in Las Vegas where the popular Hunter & Outdoor Christmas Expo will remain. The expo runs in conjunction with Cowboy Christmas December 1-10, 2016, in the South Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

RMEF National Convention sponsors include Cabela’s, Remington, Browning, Sitka, New Holland, Buck Knives, PEAK BlueDef, Realtree and Nationwide Insurance.
