MISSOULA, Mont. — As 2025 begins, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation salutes two dedicated members of its board of directors and welcomes two new members to take their place.
Michael Wright of Canton, Georgia, began his board service in 2019 and James Baker of Bozeman, Montana, began in 2021. Each served until the end of 2024. New to the board in 2025 are Jon Lee from Huson, Montana, and Bruce Pettet of Portland, Oregon.
“Michael and Jim faithfully served the organization as fellow board members. We thank them for their significant and vast contributions,” said Fred Lekse, RMEF board chair. “Bruce and Jon bring unique perspectives and valued skill sets that fortify the board. Each are successful businessmen, avid hunters and RMEF life members who are dedicated to our mission. We are excited to welcome them.”
Todd Walker of McLean, Virginia, also steps into a new, elevated role of vice chair.

Fifteen members from nine states comprise the RMEF Board of Directors, which focuses on strategic priorities and direction for the hunter-based conservation organization.
