Elk NetworkMountain Lion Stares Down School

Sometimes you just don’t know who…or what is watching you! Bob Hagin, principal at Northwest Liberty School in suburban Seattle, knows that all too well.

“I am working in my office (6:00 p.m) and heard a sound out in our Study Lab area. I check it out, only to see the cougar pawing at a window,” Hagin wrote on his school’s Facebook page. “Another window had a lick mark on it. Crazy!”

Sure enough, it turns out a mountain lion was keeping close tabs on the school. Hagin called his wife so he wouldn’t have to walk home by himself. After she arrived, they went into a dark classroom and saw two eyes just on the other side of the window.

You get an especially good look at the big cat toward the end of the surveillance video.
