Holiday Wishes for Elk Camp 2013

MISSOULA, MT—Tis the season of giving and all through the land,
There are many possible gifts including one that’s just grand.
So step aside Santa for a moment or two,
Because the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation has a conservation-minded suggestion for you.

It centers on helping elk, other wildlife and their habitat,
Just give us a moment for numerous prime examples of that.
But in order to get them, you need to take a trip,
To the sunbaked desert and neon lights of the Vegas strip.

It’s our annual convention we call Elk Camp 2013,
For the best assortment of hunting-related auction items we’ve ever seen.
There’s a cedar log cabin approximately 700 square feet in size,
To an original painting by our friend, Larry Zabel, that pleases the eyes.

There’s a John Wayne commemorative saddle and rifle set,
And plenty of chances to hunt with 15 different special state permits.
A New Holland tractor for the farmer you know,
Plus fur coats, and an elk ivory and diamond necklace just for show

There are Yukon hunts for stone sheep and grizzly bear,
Hand-crafted furniture, fishing trips abroad and other things to share.
Possum the Mule and a black lab pup will be up for bid,
So many unique auction items for the man, woman and kid.

And when you talk RMEF, you gotta talk rifles that shoot, Remington,
Winchester, Browning—just a few among the loot.
But remember, the bottom line is helping elk, elk country and habitat.
So we thank you for your continual support in helping us to do that.

“Elk Camp 2013 will feature more than one million dollars in hunts, trips and other merchandise—all to benefit wildlife,” said Steve Decker, RMEF vice president of Marketing. “We are grateful to the many RMEF supporters who make so many donations to help us further our mission.”

Elk Camp 2013 will take place February 28-March 3 at the Mirage and Las Vegas Convention Center. It helps raise awareness of elk, habitat and the conservation initiatives of RMEF. For more information, log on here: http://www.rmef.org/Events/ElkCamp.aspx
