Elk NetworkHelp Find Montana Elk Poacher

General | December 10, 2018

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) is seeking information on a recently poached bull elk in east-central Montana.  Sometime during the weekend of November 24, a bull elk was poached south of Hysham off of Sarpy Creek Highway near the Treasure/Big Horn County line.

The elk was shot without permission on private land. The head was removed and most of the meat was wasted.

It is believed to be a mature bull elk.
