How do you know if a young bull elk is still healthy despite being stuck? When upon being freed, it immediately charges its rescuers.

That’s exactly what happened in northern New Mexico.

KRQE-TV reported wildlife officials with New Mexico Fish and game received a call about a bull elk stuck in the mud from a dry water tank. It took them about two hours to free the animal. As soon as it got out of the tank, it tried to charge the wildlife workers.
