A Nebraska woman outside watering her flowers heard the cries but was afraid what she might find so her teenage daughter spring into auction. Morgan Brumm headed toward a creek when she came across an abandoned well on a neighbors’ property. What she found was a trio of whitetail deer fawns.

“I was just really surprised,” Morgan Brumm told the Omaha World-Herald. “I didn’t think there would be three of them in there.’’

The old covering apparently came off the top of the well and has since been replaced.

A neighbor reached down into the opening and pulled each fawn to safety which subsequently trotted off into the woods.
