This is definitely not a photo you see every day. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department posted the picture on its Facebook page.
It comes from a game camera on the Sunlight Wildlife Habitat Management Area (WHMA) located about 40 miles northwest of Cody. Biologists use the cameras as a way to monitor elk, moose, mule deer, bighorn sheep and other wildlife within the unit. It’s home to about 900 elk between November and May.
By the way, the Sunlight WHMA is currently closed until April 30 to protect wintering wildlife and the surrounding habitat.
