General | November 26, 2019

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks wardens need your help trying to find the person(s) responsible for illegally shooting a mature bull elk shot in rural central Montana. It happened on Nov. 8 (2019) in Fergus County between Lewistown and Grass Range and it was left to waste.

More specifically, the poaching took place near Surenuff and Flatwillow Roads on private property in the Little Snowy Mountains.

The perpetrator(s) also removed the elk’s head.

If you have any information, call 1-800-TIPMONT. The landowners are willing to match TIPMONT’s $1,000 reward for a total of $2,000.
