A bull elk in Estes Park, Colorado, found itself in a tussle it could not escape. Its antlers were caught in a swing and it could not get free no matter how much it fought and struggled.
“I knew he was in big trouble. I knew I had to help and I knew I couldn’t leave him there,” Jackie Crivello, wildlife photographer, told KDVR-TV.
Crivello called Colorado Parks and Wildlife which dispatched an officer with a tranquilizer gun. He shot and the bull went down. After the swing was removed, the elk eventually regained its senses and wandered back into the forest.
