The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is about much more than just elk. It’s about wildlife. It’s about the outdoors. And it’s about working alongside partners to introduce kids of all ages to the beauty of nature and its abounding wildlife.
RMEF’s North Alabama Chapter provided funding for such a gathering in the north-central part of the state.
Tim Green from Our Bluebird Trails shared information about what makes a good bird house or nesting box. Our group assembled bird houses and installed six around the Old Railroad Bed Trail on Monte Sano Nature Preserve in the north-central part of the state and the Bankhead Land Trust parking lot.
Thank you to The Alabama Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation for funding the bird houses for this project.
