Whether you harvest a big game animal every year or you’ve waited decades to draw the tag of a lifetime, having total confidence in your ammunition matters. For decades, discerning big game hunters have trusted Nosler® bullets loaded in Nosler’s Trophy Grade™ Ammunition to get the job done.

Besides your rifle, your ammunition is the most critical piece of gear in your kit. Each cartridge is the launching platform for your all-important bullet – the one object that impacts the animal downrange and makes the difference between a notched tag and a missed opportunity.

The last thing you want in that moment of truth is a cartridge loaded with suboptimal components – powder that doesn’t give you expected velocities or accuracy results; brass that doesn’t feed or extract reliably if you need to make a follow-up shot; or bullets that don’t offer the terminal performance you’re counting on for a clean, ethical kill.

Trophy Grade Ammunition is loaded with three of the greatest big game hunting bullets in the world – the Partition®, the AccuBond® and AccuBond Long-Range.

Partition®

The Nosler Partition revolutionized bullet design in 1948, and many consider it the first controlled expansion big game bullet. Inside its copper alloy jacket, the Partition uses two lead cores separated by a copper alloy partition. The front lead core expands dramatically, while the rear lead core (housed by the middle partition) continues to drive the bullet forward and maximizes weight retention (up to 65-70%). The Nosler Partition delivers bone-crushing impact, a massive wound channel and deep penetration.

The Partition features a more traditional flat base design and therefore doesn’t boast the same high Ballistic Coefficients (BCs) as some of the more aerodynamic bullets in the Nosler lineup, but for shots inside 400 yards, it’s hard to outperform the Partition on big-bodied game.

Nosler also offers RMEF-licensed boxes of Trophy Grade Partition ammunition with a portion of each sale going back to RMEF. Just look for the RMEF logo on Trophy Grade Ammunition boxes in a variety of popular cartridges, including 6.5 Creedmoor, 270 Win, 7mm Rem Mag, 28 Nosler, 308 Win, 30-06 Springfield, 300 Win Mag and 338 Win Mag.

AccuBond

Trophy Grade is also available loaded with Nosler AccuBond bullets. The trusted bonded bullet against which all others are measured, the Nosler AccuBond was designed to mimic the on-game performance of the Partition in a sleeker, more aerodynamic design. The AccuBond features a heavily tapered jacket, a single lead core which is permanently bonded to the jacket, and a polymer tip. This design achieves higher BCs while still maintaining controlled expansion on impact for deep penetration and 65-70% weight retention. This is the ideal big game bullet when you need one dependable bullet to do it all.

AccuBond Long-Range

For hunters expecting to take truly long range shots beyond 500 yards, Trophy Grade Long-Range ammunition with AccuBond Long-Range (ABLR) bullets is a great off-the-shelf alternative to meticulously handloading for long-range precision. AccuBond and AccuBond Long-Range bullets share similar names and the same bonding technology, but they are two distinct bullet designs for different applications.

The AccuBond Long-Range is engineered to optimize Ballistic Coefficient and to allow the bullet to expand over a much broader range of impact velocities than the original AccuBond. Whereas the standard AccuBond is designed to reliably expand down to velocities of 1800 fps, the ABLR will still expand at velocities down to 1300 fps. This means a hunter can still achieve the controlled expansion and deep penetration necessary to take down an elk at extended ranges where bullet velocity is greatly reduced. The ABLR’s higher BC also results in reduced bullet drop and better wind-resistance at extended ranges, however the bullet also has more modest weight retention (50-60%) than the standard AccuBond due to its softer nose.

Nosler Brass

Nosler’s bullets are just the tip of the spear. Nosler Trophy Grade ammunition also uses Nosler Premium Brass, which has earned a well-deserved reputation among handloaders as some of the highest quality brass on the market. Each piece is manufactured using the highest quality materials and precision engineering. Cases are checked for the correct length; necks are sized, chamfered and trued; and flash holes are checked for proper alignment before primers are loaded.

From there, high-performance powders are chosen to maximize each particular bullet’s accuracy and velocity potential, and each powder charge is meticulously weighed for consistency. Before they’re boxed, each finished cartridge is visually inspected, so only rounds that meet Nosler’s uncompromising standards end up in hunters’ hands.

These days, there’s a lot of good ammunition out there, but for hunters who want zero doubts this season – regardless of whether they’re going on the hunt of a lifetime or just want to fill the freezer on an over-the-counter tag – Nosler Trophy Grade is worth it.
