RMEF Recognizes Conservation Partners

MISSOULA, Mont.—The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation tips its hat to the sponsors of its Access Elk Country Initiative and Elk Country Legacy program that help fund and support its conservation mission.

“These organizations are among the cream of the crop of outdoor industry leaders. They genuinely care and demonstrate that by taking action to benefit our wildlife and wild landscapes,” said Steve Decker, RMEF vice president of Marketing. “Their support is much valued and appreciated.”

RMEF’s Access Elk Country Initiative seeks to open and improve public access to elk country while also trying to find solutions to local access challenges. RMEF originally set a five-year goal of opening or improving access to 250,000 acres of land, yet actually surpassed that goal after only a few years. RMEF continues to seek strategic access-related projects to benefit elk management, hunters, anglers and others to use and enjoy.

Access Elk Country sponsors include ALPS OutdoorZ, Bushnell, Gerber, Kimber, Sitka, Sportsman’s Guide, Yamaha, YETI and Winchester.

The Elk Country Legacy campaign focuses on all aspects of RMEF’s mission of ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage. Sponsors include Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s, Browning, Grandview Media, Mossy Oak, Remington and Winchester.
