Conservation | April 12, 2018

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation provided funding for low intensity 120-acre controlled burn in North Carolina’s Little Cataloochee within Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Officials hope to carry out the work April 12 and 13.

The burn is designed to restore oak woodland communities that benefit elk and other wildlife.
