We’ve all heard about a plane landing being delayed because of poor weather or dense fog but because of a mountain lion on the runway? That’s what happened on a Salt Lake City to Hailey, Idaho, flight.
“We thought we had it contained but it did spring loose and walk across the runway when the Delta flight was several miles out,” Chris Pomeroy, Hailey airport manager, told the Idaho Mountain Express.
For the safety of those in the plane and at the airport, wildlife officials shot and killed the mountain lion.
