Idaho Elk Poaching

Authorities are seeking information that will lead them to those responsible for the poaching of a bull elk on a private farm near White Owl approximately 11 miles east of Rexburg in southeast Idaho. Conservation officers with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) believe more than one suspect was involved with shooting the elk multiple times.

The area where the incident happened is popular for both snowmobiling and antler hunting.

Anyone with any information about the crime is encouraged to call IDFG Sr. Conservation Officer Andrew Sorensen at (208) 390-0632 or call the Citizens Against Poaching (CAP) hotline 1-800-632-5999. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
