Eastmans’, Sitka Step Up (Again) for Conservation

MISSOULA, Mont(July 28, 2008)—A television audience in 31 million homes can discover the urgency of habitat conservation via new Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation segments sponsored by Eastmans’ Hunting Journal TV and Sitka Mountain Gear.

Segments begin July 29 on Eastmans’ Hunting Journal TV on Outdoor Channel. Check local listings for show times.

“Building public support for habitat conservation is critical to the future of elk. These on-air segments are an important but big-ticket asset that simply wouldn’t have been possible without support from these two great companies. We can’t thank them enough,” said Arnie Didier of the Elk Foundation.

The Eastmans’ family of outdoor communications products—Eastmans’ Hunting Journal, Eastmans’ Bowhunting Journal, and Eastmans’ Hunting Journal TV—has been a major supporter of the Elk Foundation for many years.

Sitka Mountain Gear, maker of high performance hunting equipment, is a more recent major supporter of the Elk Foundation. Dedicated to conservation, the three-year-old company now sponsors Elk Foundation fundraising materials and Great Elk Tour, partners on conservation initiatives and product licensing, and advertises in the organization’s membership magazine, “Bugle.”

The new television messages, designed to inspire viewers to get involved in the Elk Foundation mission and membership, will air through Dec. 23.
