Elk NetworkAntlers Stolen from Soldier’s Truck

General | November 2, 2017

It took a soldier based at Fort Carson a couple of days to haul his first-ever elk out of Colorado’s high country, but when he returned to his truck on 2 a.m. on October 20, he discovered that someone stole his 6 x 6 antlers out of the pickup bed.

It happened northwest of Gypsum in the Derby Mesa Loop area. Investigators say in addition to someone stealing the antlers, they also moved around other items in the pickup.
